If you'd like a user flair reflecting that.CSS credit. With the lack of an actual baseball game on Xbox One, I'm looking to go back 11 years and play the greatest baseball game ever created, MVP Baseball 2005. Now I no longer have a PS2 to play it on, and was wondering the best way I can play PS2 and MVP Baseball 2005 on my Mac. If someone could please provide me a link and maybe a tutorial on how to do it it'd be much appreciated. I usually don't ask on subs like this, but I've tried installing PCSX 2 several times only to no have it work at all. I'm currently using a Mid-2013 MacBook Air and it's running OSX 10.11.3.
Most games don't run (and those who do are either slow or with severe graphics issues) - as you can see - the compatibility is still very very bad:As a developer with almost 10 year experience I can say that a full code rewrite is one of the stupidest decisions that can be made.PCSX2 code has been tested and improved over many many years. And due to PS2 complexity and total incompatibility with x86 some hacks might indeed be necessary in order to achieve good performance. If the code is a mess then careful refactoring can make it less messy - no need to rewrite everything poorly. Well unlike most people, I hadn't ditched using a CRT with s-video, and the visuals look pretty damn good on that. I have the sharpness turned up just a bit as well. Most people like myself don't even have the PC to run that emulator most of the time.
Some games run fine at fullspeed, but most don't, and many games have graphical bugs and issues anyway for me. I refuse to use ugly old software mode as well to fix some of them! Most of the games that no one really cares about don't work right anyway, so I just stick to using a PS2 with OPL.
